✅ 1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Setu ("the Service", "Setu", "Setu-Bridge") at setusync.space or any associated sub-domains, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. Your continued use of Setu after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

🎂 2. Eligibility

You must meet the following requirements to use Setu:

• You must be at least 13 years of age.
• If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the Service.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• Your use must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

👤 3. Account Responsibilities

3.1 Account Creation

When creating an account on Setu, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Keep your account information up to date.
• Maintain the security of your password and not share it with others.
• Immediately notify us of any unauthorized access to your account.

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Setu will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account due to your failure to maintain account security.

3.3 One Account Per Person

You may maintain only one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, rate limits, or other restrictions is prohibited.

⚠️ 4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Setu only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Upload, share, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Share or transfer child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — this will result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities.
• Use Setu to infringe any intellectual property rights of third parties.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Setu's systems, servers, or databases.
• Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
• Use automated bots or scripts to abuse the Service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service for phishing, spam, or any deceptive activities.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

📁 5. File Transfers

5.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to files you upload through Setu. By uploading a file, you grant Setu a limited, temporary license to store and transmit the file solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

5.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content of files you upload and share. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the right to share the uploaded content.
• The content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
• The content is not malicious (e.g., malware, ransomware, viruses).

5.3 Auto-Deletion

Files transferred via QR Transfer auto-expire after 7 minutes, or immediately after a single download if the one-time-download option is selected. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from this auto-expiry mechanism.

5.4 Encryption Notice

Files are encrypted client-side before upload. While we implement strong security measures, no system is 100% secure. You use the file transfer feature at your own risk for sensitive content.

The Setu platform, including its design, codebase, branding, logos, and documentation, is the property of Setu-Bridge and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or included software without explicit written permission from Setu-Bridge.

The Setu open-source repositories (if any) are governed by their respective licenses, separate from these Terms.

⚖️ 7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

7.1 "As Is" Service

Setu is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Setu-Bridge shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• Service interruptions, downtime, or loss of access.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.

7.3 Uptime

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Setu may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

🔚 8. Termination

Setu-Bridge reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms & Conditions.
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
• Extended inactivity.
• Discontinuation of the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

🏛️ 9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
